Plan of Milan for Creativity as Innovation, opportunity for StartUp Companies

One of the features of new edition of Switch on your Creativity goes beyond creativity as generally known. Our project has grown during Milano EXPO 2015 and has become a concrete opportunity to improve skills on continuous stimulus for that concerns our “Charter of Values for Youth Creativity”; if we consider creativity as fundamental for innovation and in particular for those companies that make innovation as core aspect in their structure we easily find a common point of joint between creativity and start up companies.

That’s why for current edition we decided to focus on creativity in wider perspective including also creativity as winning feature for start up companies in comparison with traditional productive and business environment.

For this reason during “Switch on Your Creativity 2015 / 2016 –  The Gala Night in Milan” fixed for 12 of October at Novotel Ca’ Granda, beyond presentation of creative project that made possible the establishment of new start up company operating from Milan on chinese market in field of services and communication, we are going to launch a new platform that will support during next edition the selection of innovative concepts that will get concrete benefits offered by partnered organizations operating with specialistic services for internationalization of start up companies towards two macro-areas (USA and China).

cdc_promos_4col_hThis venture “Plan of Milan for Creativity as Innovation” promoted by Asian Studies Group for Switch on Your Creativity has become possible with collaboration of strategical partners operating on services for internationalization,  startup environment as long as innovation and digitalization: Promos (special agency for internationalization, part of Chamber of Commerce of Milan) in collaboration with NIBI – New Institute for International Business of Milan will offer to start up companies from Milan’s area an exclusive opportunity to get selected and join to executive training and correlated services for internationalization, Italia Start Up, national association for start up companies and Netcomm, Consortium for e-commerce will organize an open call for “Plan of Milan for Creativity as Innovation” among startup companies scenario.

The companies will have opportunity to communicate in special occasion in front of specialists and institutional partners their businesses and put on focus the creative features that characterize their strategies, products or services. It won’t be only networking and promotional day, but the occasion is functional to select attendants to special programme managed by Promos and NIBI that will offer to companies to qualify their business for internationalization’s perspectives.

This opportunity well represents the realization of intents introduced by Charter of Values for Youth Creativity presented  by our organization during Milano EXPO 2015 to representatives from Milan City, Lombardia Region, Chamber of Commerce and Milano EXPO.

Further details about “Plan of Milan for Creativity as Innovation”  as part of Switch on your Creativity 2016 / 2017 will be announced during the Gala Night  and through our official communication’s channel and partners.

Korean Wunderkrammer chooses Milan

Korean Wunderkammer by Orange Bridge, a Korean art movement created in Milan, has been selected as a creative project for art section in the third edition of the Switch On Your Creativity, “Kaleidoscope Nature, Man at the Mirror”. The Collective exhibition that presents artworks by more than 150 contemporary korean artists, sums up very well  the concept of research on the nature of art, the human society, as well as the relationship between cultural traditions of origins and insights from the West.

LOCANDINA

Over twenty artists under 35 years old are participating in the group’s exhibition  and they are strengthening a well framed dialogue focused on youth participation that brings Korea close to Milan as the European capital of creativity (as defined officially by Minister of Industry Trade and Energy of Republic of Korea in Milan during the 130th anniversary of bilateral relations Italy Korea in June 2014) .

The exhibition “Korean Wunderkammer”  will take place at Fondazione Luciana Matalon on 7 of July.  It perfectly represents an equilibrated synthesis of Asian and Western dialectic and offers a contemporary sight through millenary culture. In these pieces, the national artistic soul meets the influences from west, and the tradition reinvents itself with new experiments.

wunderkrammer folk1

This collective exhibition is like a call back to the roots, to the cultural fundamentals deeply shaken by radical economic, social and political changes that brought Korea on international scene. However, the exhibited works are like a pragmatic tale, more than a traditional one, where artists bring out a silent awareness and attitude, and are looking to rediscover their history and original individuality.

The journey through the “windows of curiosity“, typical European collecting, thrills in this “Korean” re-reading and stimulates the need for a comparison that is never satisfied when it comes to mutual understanding and inspiration.

Milan and Chinese Creativity: “SENZA” The New Fashion Brand

We are pleased to announce a new entry for Fashion & Design Section of our international contest about Creativity developed by Asian Studies Group.

In fact these two young chinese creatives are producing the  first collection of new fashion brand created following our topic “Kaleidoscopic Nature”.

This experience also realizes a concrete perspective of cross-cultural cooperation about creative industry in Milan exactly as promoted by our Charter of CM studio logoValues for Youth Creativity.

The new “SENZA”  collection for woman consist of 17 articles, the number 1 in chinese numerology represent the origin of everything with important connection with nature and 7 in biblic and western tradition got lot of meanings about man and his relation with God. As cross cultural conjunction between Italy and China through Fashion could be perfectly represented by number 17.

The official presentation of SENZA collection in Milan will take place in special location supported by our organization and it will be not only a glamorous event in perfect fashion night’s style typical of Milan but it will be the perfect occasion to present the deep study senza studio orangeamong shapes, colors and technique and it will reveal the presence of dynamic generation of chinese people who are anxious to be part of our Made in Italy system. They started as students but now they are approaching professional life in Milan and they wanna be part of the italian excellences.

For this first collection the research has been focused on “body links”,  well framed analysis of those parts, shapes, configurations specifically owned by nature and at the same time developed in different ways for the human sphere, it’s something that keep natura and humanity well connected like common genoma: Keep the act of the nature on pursuing your daily style

Because we love to sustain cross cultural creativity when it represents a positive and concrete improvement for our city and country we definitely want to be part of this new venture.

Stay tuned for more info about official presentation of SENZA in exclusive for Switch on Your Creativity.

Today we are pleased to mention one important event that has been selected by our organization to join our Switch on your Creativity as official nominee for Music, Dance and Show Section .

The project has been selected for this edition of Switch on Your Creativity cause it totally embraces some crucial points of our Charter of Value for Youth Creativity, in particular those aspects that concern cross culture and international cooperation and dialogue sustained with modern tools among young people.

dance contest

Then it matches also with our topic “Kaleidoscopic Nature, man at the mirror” because of the liaison that dance and music can figure out for some introspective elements. Sometimes dancing and music represent an important way to explore human feeling, on giving voice to personal dreams or to express hope and energy for better future, especially among young people.

We wish all the best and good luck to these young performers and we are pleased to invite you to join the show in Milan!

As you know Switch on Your Creativity with its award  called “International Dialogue Among Cultures” represents the best project sustained by our organization every year on international way.

Today we are proud to announce one project approved by our organization as content of Creative Composition Section in Switch on Your Creativity 2015 / 2016 – defined Mapping Korea, in cooperation with KSCPP which we already got nice cooperation last year

kscpp milano

Mapping Korea is a cultural laboratory that put focus on the personality of King Sejong the Great, and his crucial effort  in korean history for those aspects that concern the development and definition of own culture and tradition for korean peninsula.

Students of korean language and people interested on korean culture in Italy can read a book offered for free by KSCPP, partner and developer of the project, and after that have collected all info they needs they can prepare a composition of any nature about the mythical figure of King Sejong. Details about scholarships and awards and further info about the contest-  Mapping Korea are indicated on our ASG website

As follows a brief introduction made by Mr. Giancarlo Crocetti an italian representative of KSCPP living in USA.

KSCPP Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project is  non-profit organization that dedicated to raising awareness of Korean history and culture. In appreciation of the United State’s support for Korea during the Korean War and in the years that followed, KSCPP began to introduce the history and culture of Korea in the United States in 2005.  We distribute free literature and give presentations at museums, universities, schools cultural organizations, and corporations, for those who are interested in learning not only about Korea, but also about its culture & art generally.

It is a non-profit organization staffed by volunteers, and all literature and events are provided free of charge.

Throughout Korean history we many examples of creative thinking that brought to the scientific and artistic development with important contributions like the movable metal types in 1234 (200 years before Guttenberg’s type), unique astronomical charts, and culminating with the Hangul, the only alphabet in the world for which we know the author, date of invention, and the reasons behind the invention.

However, creativity in Korea is not only a fact of the past. Korea had to develop a creative culture in order to reemerge from the backdrop of a war that left everything in ruins. Only through their creative and imaginative minds and with hard work, described by scholars like Bruce Cumings as “worked their fingers to the bone to create the industrial country we now see”, they were able to become the industrialized nation that we see today.

It is with this spirit that KSCPP is honored to participate to the “Switch On Your Creativity” project and help new generations to develop that spirit of endurance, compassion, and devotion so distinctive of Korean culture that is part of any creative process.
