The statement “Broken Nature: Design Takes on Human Survival” seeks to start a reflection on the role design has on the research for a new balance between Man and Nature.
That balance which is composed of complex and numerous connections that we have damaged as the time goes by, particularly when we talk about natural environmental resources.
They are connections that must be recovered; in this, design can be a fundamental element not only to provide creativity but also to develop strategies in order to reconsider our relationship with nature.
We have heard in the last decades, in all fields of design, terms like “organic”, “green”, “eco-friendly”, “sustainable”. But the goal Broken Nature exhitibion has gave itself is that designers can give these adjectives meaning and ability to act , encouraging new behaviors.
